Since 2006, I have been trying to create my own card game. For a long time, I have been fascinated by the Magic the Gathering cards by Richard Channing Garfield, Jr. The card game company that publishes his cards is Wizards of the Coast. I never played the game but I collected the cards because I loved the art. I wanted to join and be a part of Magic the Gathering and publish my art on Richard’s cards. It’s hard getting your work recognized by people that are already professionals in the business, but when you can do your own thing and be in charge, that’s even better.
I started publishing my art at Mytradingcards.com. There seemed to be no art there. I was the only one publishing art, and I was also publishing at Zazzle. I tried to sell my work at mytradingcards, but it seemed that I wasn’t getting anywhere.
